Alyssa Pennington serves as a Practice Administrator for Community Medicine, Inc. at UPMC where she is responsible for supporting physician practice operations at ten primary care practices throughout the Pittsburgh region. In addition, she provides administrative support for University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Family Medicine. Alyssa completed the UPMC Administrative Fellowship in 2016, where she found her passion for working with providers in the outpatient setting. She has served in a variety of roles during her time with UPMC. Prior working in Community Medicine, she also held in leadership roles in Radiation Oncology at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and Ambulatory Services at UPMC St. Margaret.
Alyssa earned her Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Iowa in 2014 and a Bachelor’s in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012.
Alyssa previously served as a member of the ACHE of Western PA Programming Committee from 2015-2018. She also serves as an International Volunteer for the Northwestern chapters of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity.
