This presentation will serve as an introduction to how the Baldrige Program, designed to enable U.S.-based business to effectively compete and excel in a global market, has been modified to enable the leaders of health care organizations to achieve and sustain industry-leading performance in all indicators of clinical, service, operational and financial excellence.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the presentation the attendee will:

• Gain a high level appreciation of how the Baldrige National Quality Program framework has immediate actionable value providing structure, discipline, and guidance to business unit and system-wide improvement
• Understand what constitutes role model performance achieved by Baldrige recipients from health care, manufacturing, service and education industries
• Realize that the current performance levels of their organization, despite how strong they may be, are well below what is achievable and are therefore unacceptable
• Be encouraged to become a leader that learns, embraces, and deploys the Baldrige framework to enable every patient to receive the care they need and deserve - and to thereby leave a legacy of leadership
